"Student" from LithuaniaOn June 26, 2000 the Center of public relations by FSB outspreaded the information that as a result of a fulfillment of operation measures’ complex an agent by the American (CIA) and Lithuanian (DGB) special services had been disclosed and exposed by the Federal service of security. As follows from the text of notice the agent "had been acted from the beginning of 1999 in the developed by CIA special operation on infiltration into the sub-unit of computer and informational security by FSB of Russia purposely of information collection on work organization of these departments, personnel staff, professional level of the officers and besides on possibility of counteraction by these departments to fulfillment of operations by the western special services against Russia". In threshold of a visit to Russia by the USA president the agent had the task "to export into the territory of Poland the FSB officer where to carry out his recruiting or catch in flagrante". These actions were prevented and "thus there were short-circuited the CIA plans aimed at organization of political provocation against Russia". A day later it was found out the name of the suspected person in spying - him proved to be Pavel Ilyin who got at FSB the code alias "Student". He was born on June 02, 1976 in Klaypeda. In 1998 Ilyin worked at Vilnius joint-stock company (AO) "Alternative technologies of security", in 1999 - at AO "Baltic computer center". Since June 15, 1999 up to present - senior tax inspector by Vilnius district state tax inspection. Student of the 5th course by Vilnius Technical University. He lives in Vilnius by the following address: 12-1511 Sauletekio Ul. He was recruited by DGB, Lithuania in 1995. By FSB data he was in touch with DGB officers - Linas Petronis (1956) and Ritis Arbachauskas (1975). Since February, 1999 Ilyin was participating as a main executive of special operation on infiltration into the sub-unit of computer and informational security by FSB which carried out under the CIA supervision.
